Replacement Parts for 18.5 inch Smokers
There are three models of the 18.5 inch Weber Smokey Mountain. The original Weber Smokey Mountain was the 2890 and was made prior to 2000. The 2890 was followed by the 2820 with minor design changes to the top vent and handle. The 2820 was made until 2008 when it was replaced by the 721001.

The major components are interchangeable between all three models but the newest model has some extras that just don’t fit on the older smokers.

I swear I think Weber came out with this silly little smoker just to aggravate me. What the heck is the point of making a baby smoker? I think it was really just to test the boundaries of Weber’s fanatical fan base.
